Second grade is a time of exciting growth, where children begin to develop stronger reading, writing, and math skills while also building independence and confidence in their learning. At this stage, students are curious, eager to explore new ideas, and enjoy working both independently and with their peers. The second staff focuses on teaching them to become more responsible, follow routines, and solve problems in more creative ways. We feel that we play an important role in guiding this transition by being patient, encouraging, and highly skilled at balancing academic instruction with social and emotional support. Our teachers create engaging lessons that spark curiosity while also fostering kindness, cooperation, and respect in the classroom, helping each child feel safe, valued, and capable complete success in becoming a leader in our school, our community, and in their homes.
